Not really a comedy at all, but a decent average movie

The movie seems like a drama to me.

Emma Roberts does a good job at acting the character, Amy.
In the first third of the movie, focus is mostly on Amy, until she finally gets her favorite writer, portrayed by Jack Cusack who is perfect for the role, to accept spending some time with her.

Considering that this is a low budget movie,
it's really not the worst kind.

But if you were misguided by the "comedy" tag, and expect to have some easy laughs with this "comedy", well, it's not very likely to happen.

I was misguided by your promise that Jack Cusack would be in it.

It kept my interest. Here is this girl who lived this sheltered life and then she is thrusted out in the real world and had to somehow make a living. It was so funny all the decisions she made she didn’t think it through. As in racking up 90K in loans for a degree in poetry and then not having a job walking out of her job at the porno store. In the end she was able to stick to her guns and finally did what she wanted to do.

I found it to be an average decent movie.

It truly is a comedy. There are many flavors of comedy. This was hyperbolic at times, witty and poking fun at the younger generation.

Yeah there were some funny parts I guess but mostly drama.
