It reminding me of Girls as well, but I thought the Emma Roberts character was annoying as hell. She makes Hannah Horvath look like a genius.
shareSorry, just because Emma is more attractive than Lena, doesn't make her any less annoying. I honestly found Emma Roberts character to be much more unbearable to watch than any of the characters I've seen on girls.

Dunham's Tiny Furniture is of course very similar (although much more depressing).
I guess Whip It! and Adventureland are a little bit similar if you haven't seen them. They're a bit more popular I think. Whip It! isn't about a post grad though.

shareIt definitely does remind me of Girls, with all the whining and complaining and lack of confidence, although the Emma Roberts character was much more annoying than anything I've seen on Girls. The only difference I can see between Adult World and Girls is the fact that Hannah Horvath (Lena Duham) actually has some writing talent.
