Finally, Robert Pattinson is tolerable

Haven't seen much of his work, because I simply can't stand that somewhat half-witted face of his. These half-closed, down cast eyes, he looks absurdly weird. But in this film, his presence is acceptable and his acting very convincing.

Well, he was tolerable in Harry Potter, and that's almost 8 years ago. But I haven't seen that much of him. I have seen 1 1/2 Twilight film and he wasn't really likeable. But this one was really good. He has range.

It's almost the same I feel about Brad Pitt. I have never really liked him, and I don't like his face. I hated him in "Troy", but in "Inglourious Basterds" he was acceptable. He was actually really funny at times. But it doesn't mean I want to check out his films, it just makes me more okay with his presence in films. If I want to see a film because of other actors, his presence wouldn't really bother me that much anymore.

It's beyond me how he keeps getting these "sexiest man" awards. I think he's ugly. To each their own.

I think he was very good in this film. Robert Pattinson reminds me of James Dean. James Dean wasn't classically handsome, but he had "something". Robert has something that makes him interesting and appealing. I find him attractive even though he doesn't have classic leading man looks. I think he has some acting range and will mature into a pretty good actor. He seems like a nice guy too.

If you're judging Patterson by the Twilight movies, then yeah I guess he is more tolerable in this film. But honestly I didn't notice a difference. He has the same presence, facial expressions, etc in this movie as Twilight. I thought his acting in this film was lackluster. But I've seen him in a few other films and he's an okay actor. I think his problem is he chooses poorly written roles. I think the OP meant this film was more tolerable than the other films Patterson has been in. His acting is about the same.

he certainly isn't one of my favourite actors, but was okay in this film. Those eyebrows need trimming for me, but he really isn't in the "sexy" category by any stretch of the imagination.
I did not feel that there was any chemistry between Reese and him. She of course was fabulous to look at.
He was miscast I think.

He’s definitely gotten better in the last decade. But I remember him still being pretty wooden here. It doesn’t help that he’s acting next to Christoph Waltz.
