This 2009 version from Jim Carrey and Robert Zemeckis is, for sure, in every aspect, the most accurate and the most faithful adaptation from the Dickens book to date, there's no other adaptation so faithful and respectable to the source material as this one, I agree with it completely! I read the book countless times and saw the 2009 movie more times than I can count.
But please, no sequel! The story is perfect as it is! I read the premise you showed, and honestly, it doesn't even hold a candle for the original book, no matter how deep and respectable to the source material it tries to be.
Too bad that Two And A Half Men ended on Season 8!
