The reason behind the negative reviews

It's pretty sad now that I think about it, but about 60% of the negative reviews for Methodic are from a select group of people or rather, person, who has an axe to grind against me. I know how retarded this sounds, trust me, it is. But for the most part, the people who have been bashing this movie on here and on Amazon, are for the most part all part of the same click.

And if you doubt me, check out the origins of the reviews. And I don't know about you, but who would specifically create an account on here just to negatively review Methodic? I can understand it if you didn't like the movie, but its not so horrible that it would motivate someone to create an account just to publicly rant about it. That's just dumb. I've seen my fair share of crappy movies and Methodic, though it's just a regular B movie, is not so terrible that it would make you want to shake your fists at the sky screaming "Why God? Why?"

Oh and also, if you check the IP addresses or the response comments on here or Amazon, you will also see a couple of coincidences. So to the "people" who keep attacking this movie, do what you will. It's not really gonna effect anything. Negative reviews are better than no reviews at all.

And to the people who like to sit back and follow bickering on the internet, stay tuned, I pretty sure this thread is gonna draw out some trolls who would love nothing more than to anonymously bitch me out, wish me death and demand I quit making movies.

It should be a hoot.

Anybody who knows you knows who these people are. They open up a bunch of fake accounts and bash you while self promoting themselves. I ought to know, I defended you and they started attacking me. When I called them on their crap they refused to answer.

I also find it amusing that these people post under fake names. If you've got something to say, be an adult, use your real name and own up to it. Don't be a coward and hide behind an alias.

All publicity is good publicity, so please guys, keep talking about Methodic, Chris and myself!

I assume your signature is meant to be taken as sarcasm.

As for the OP's delusional claim, which seems to be based on nothing but his own inability to take criticism, it's interesting to see that the only reviews which even mention the movie's director by name *at all* are the positive ones (this includes yours, by the way). The negative ones are predominantly concerned with criticizing the movie itself.

What's sad is that you are so incapable of taking criticism that you have to create some kind of ridiculous conspiracy to explain the fact that people don't like your amateur horror film. Even genre classics get bashed to hell on this site. And Methodic is no classic. It's not even average. It's a cheap movie full of obvious flaws. It plays more like a high school film project/youtube fan film than an honest-to-god B movie. It it really that surprising that it doesn't have wide appeal? I mean, is it better than Blood Lake? Sure. That doesn't mean it's good.

I'm a fan of the genre, and I can usually find something to love about even the cheesiest slashers. But this is a really difficult film to appreciate. The villain kind of works, but almost nothing else does. The acting is awful all around, which really highlights the insufferable dialogue. The cinematography - especially when considering the Halloween influence - is way below par. I know you didn't have much of a budget to work with, but that doesn't excuse all of the laziness and ineptitude on display.

Although, I suppose I've shown my hand there. I mean, in order to say something so negative about Methodic I must just be part of this "click" of people that follow you around the internet trolling your films just to make you look bad, right? I was just lying in wait for ten years rating films and making posts to create this false persona, all in order to troll a movie that wasn't even out when I created my account.
