With social media and Michael's legend alone I can't see how this story stayed local


I think the tough part to wrap your head around is that this was all happening within a matter of one night. Even so I still believe the press, higher authorities, and even some vigilantes would get involved considering the magnitude of killings. I think of the Kenosha protests and how that one kid traveled across state lines with an itchy trigger finger...just to be apart of the action. The closest example I can compare this to movie wise would be the first Jaws; out of towners coming to Amity in hopes to kill the shark for some reward money. Granted, that movie spanned over the course of a few days if I'm not mistaken but at the very least I would've expected it to be a widespread state of emergency.
