Here is how the producers' meetings go:

Halloween H20: We're bringing Laurie back. Just ignore parts 3-6. We're going to kill Michael off once and for all.

Halloween Resurrection: Ha, ha. Jokes on you. Michael didn't really die. This is the real last one.

Rob Zombie's Halloween: Ignore the previous 8 films. This is a reboot.

Halloween (2018): Hey, guys. We're going back to the Jamie Lee Curtis storyline for the last time. Okay, now just ignore parts 2-8 as well as the Rob Zombie films. We're going to call this film "Halloween" to avoid confusion.

Halloween Kills: Did we say the last movie is the last one? We meant it's the last one before the final two movies.

They're good fun for the most part, but the storylines are all over the place.

It's stupid. They have expected us to ignore parts 3-6 and H20 (Part 7) was supposed to be the real timeline. Then when Halloween (2018) came out, they expect us to ignore part 7 when it initially wanted us to avoid parts 3-6, plus now they want us to ignore part 8.
