It is enormously sad to think of all the poor children getting forced into this gruesome sect by their own parents. That a religion can be as evil as such that they get forced to believe, or they'll lose their own family. These people are getting ripped apart between these "Two worlds", which the film illustrates perfectly. Not even my worst enemy deserves having to choose between their family or their beloved, because their family chooses to love their god more than them, or simply out of fear. There can't be as much love in such a family. Children are getting split in the middle because they have to choose between a brother or a sister. I cried watching the despicable choices they were forced to make.

I think this is one of the most honest and emotional films I've ever seen. 10/10.

Well said darkeval! My wife's parents are jehovas witnesses and they really are acting like they are from another planet. I get dizzy thinking about whats going on in their heads.

Well I can't speak for your wife's parents, but JW's are actually well rounded people, in fact
any true JW would actually think this film was a comedy with how the way this film depicted
them.

Then I do not know what movie you were watching because this was actually an extremely accurate representation of what growing up in Jehovah's Witnesses is like. It is the same in every country since they have a world-wide set of rules. There were a few minor errors mostly only in the wording they used. The actions and choices made were very accurate. Even the brother returning because he couldn't handle going on alone, knowing that he was returning to a religion he didn't believe in, just so he could have family and friends again.

It was interesting watching Teis parents try to understand why she could believe like she did and saddening knowing that the mother had trapped herself into that way of life forever if she wanted to have a relationship with her children. It was all very true to life in the JW's world.

I didn't think Teis' parents tried to understand Sara at all, especially his mother. She seem intent on ridiculing Sara for her beliefs, and insisting that what she believes is the absolute truth. As a non-religious person myself, I see this behavior becoming more and more common. I find it equally as offensive as a religious person trying to force their faith on a non-believer. Can't we all just get along???

I don't believe in the JW church, but Jette was rude and antagonistic toward Sara. Jette's husband, Vagn, while also non-religious, tried to stop his wife's offensive behavior. I'll tell people what I believe and why I believe it, but I don't trash things that are sacred to people, even if I don't believe in those things. And yes, can't we just all get along; that's exactly my philosophy. And keep in mind that in Europe, which is very secular, the JW church is viewed as a fringe movement even more so than in America. Mere church attendance in much of Europe is considered a fringe activity.

Then I don't know what religion you were a part of because this isn't an extremely accurate
representation in the least bit. Whether its a sister going out in pants or elders on look out
for where the girl was residing, none of which is the case regarding the JW. Its not that we
weren't watching the same film, it just wasn't accurate to how things are actually done.
