Accurate, realistic, and a very good movie.

Is movie had got to me emotionally more than anything has in a long while. I grew up with the JWs as well, but thankfully I never baptized.

Still, what an awful religion. This movie shows how it is in a realistic way. It shows how this cult tears families apart, how it indoctrinates kids from an early age, how controlling it is, and even how it can kill people due to their rules about not allowing blood transfusions.

This cult tries to control who people can love, what family members can see each others, how people can dress, how much education they get, what entertainment people can watch, and on and on. They want to control every minute of your time. A topic that's talked about consistently on their meetings is "can you do more for Jehovah? Can you work less and preach more? Less school and preach more? Less free time and preach more?"

To anyone who encounters a JW and it looks like a relationship might develop, my advice is RUN!! Unless they clearly want to leave the cult, just stay the hell away. It will not end well.

You know what? If it's a little kid that needs a blood transfusion, the "witnesses" still believe it a good thing to do to refuse the child blood and let it die!

It's sick, twisted, unloving, unkind, awful religion. Stay away from it.
