imdb reviews

Hmm..were the reviews written by people involved with the movie?

I mean...this was all right, kinda had a Hallmark or inspirational tv movie vibe to it. I'm a huge sap so I was still crying at the end.

But I dunno. I was hoping for more after reading the reviews on here. It seemed really predictable to me ... and I just...kept waiting for something more to happen but it never really did. But... it had some nice elements to it. It was like an inspirational Hallmark version of The Dead Zone or something, haha. It reminded me of other things too that I can't quite place at the moment.

And... the lead guy character in the movie. Where are awesome men like this in real life, lmao? Show them my way, kthxbye

I have noticed the same thing. They appear to be fake reviews by crew, family/friends,or promoters. This student-quality film has four stellar reviews from people that have posted nothing else or a couple things on the same day (for others involved in the film), to never return.

What an absolute turn-off; it comes across as desperate. I love and support indie film, but filmmakers should never encourage the over-the-top reviews and perfect "10" scores - this one has 59 of them; it's supposedly better than The Shawshank Redemption or The Godfather, even though the director had only one short film listed prior to this film. Yeah, right.

Regular users, like you, can spot the manipulation quite easily. I will no longer watch an independent film if I notice many unnaturally occurring ratings and numerous positive reviews that are clearly made from new accounts and those that are never active again, unless they're shamelessly promoting another film by related crew/actors, of course.

You can better spot the authentic reviews, as they are more realistic in wording and criticism, rarely assign a perfect score, and have lengthy activity history, before and after the review or board post.
