Possibly one of the worst...!

Possibly the worst film I have ever seen. The only thing that kept me from turning it off, was the lead girl. Not sure what her name was - checked on here, but it seems that most of the actors appear to have denied having anything to do with this movie.
Can't blame them!

Now found out is was Emma Catherwood!
And I know Lance Henrikson has been in some low budget pants before - but this is probably the worst!

And when are they going to learn that tarantulas just aren't scary?

reply

And some of the worst effects I have ever seen. The ripped rags that were supposed to be webs in the temple looked ridiculous.

reply

Horrible movie. Horrible.

Not only was it shot on video cheap, but NOTHING happened.

One girl got surrounded by a sea of spiders, but she lived, and then a bunch of people walked around a jungle, and that was pretty much it.

Exactly. How can you get bitten multiple times and still live. But others got bit only once and died. Hmm...

I had to chuckle when Lance Henriksen's character announced that the one girl had been bitten by a "Burmese something-or-other" (I don't recall the exact name he used), Atrax robustus. Now it just so happens that there *is* a real spider with the Latin name 'Atrax robustus', and that spider *is* very dangerous, but it isn't any Burmese whatchamacallit. It's the Sydney funnel web.

(Referring to the ripped rags). The slimy sound effects used to make them appear like sticky web are just hillarious.

Whether its the web rope bridges, fake spiders on string, the fact that the main bad guy just runs around with web on his face or the strange sounds that the spiders sometimes choose to make, this film is worth a watch for sheer comedy value.

reply

I've seen worse, it's not that bad far from it, and the effects were creepy enough.

reply

have to admit ,that this film is the worst movie i have ever seen ,without a doubt, from the poor acting to the "not" so special effects it was pure CRUD ,,,,,,but 10/10 for the spiders who can spin webs that are just like rope bridges,,,

*I* sadly bought this on DVD only for Lance Henriksen. I rarely hate films, but near the end I couldn't help but fast forward continuously just to make it to the end. The CGI made me want to cry. Rubbber spiders and spiders on strings. Gawd. I'm going to keep this piece of crap movie in my Lance Henriksen collection, but never again will I watch this garbage.

And I know Lance Henrikson has been in some low budget pants before - but this is probably the worst!

YES! I agree. I'd take any of Lance's Sasquatch movies over this film.

reply

You paid money for this? Ugh, I just caught it on Sci-Fi channel at someone else's house and still want my money back. Not worth even knowing about. Plot holes: if you've got an industrial organ factory going on, there's plenty of good, safe routes in and out. That is, how'd they get lost...?

reply

What did you expect for a low budget B-flick? Of course it wasn't good, but worst ever? I don't think so.

reply

No doubt, an Oscar winner - if only for the hot babes, as that was its only redeeming feature! Other than that, it was your typical P.O.S. creature feature!

reply

If this is the worst you guys have ever seen, I envy the hell out of you. I wish I was that sheltered. I've seen direct-to-dvd titles without dialog (except for the narrator, who happened to a be a ghost that punctuated every other sentence with "oooooh!") and where they showed five minutes worth of trees---no characters, no relevance, anything, just trees with lighting effects. Compared to something like that, this film is awesome (the sheriff in this movie is GREAT). Plus this film is better than maybe half of the other stuff made for tv.

reply

This movie ain't as bad as you guys say it is. I've seen some REAL CRAP before. It wasn't ALL BAD, it was bad, but it wasn't this movie I've seen before called "All In". All in was definately the WORST movie I've ever seen, no exaggeration!

This movie compared to All In is like, like an Oscar winner!

The things that made the movie bad were the HORRID CGI, the "webs" that were easily cotton or something, "ripped rags" like somebody said before. The overacting, underacting, and just "not on the money".

Always an active duty Jr. American Gladiator!

I can definitely say 'In The Spiders Web' is the worst movie I've watched all the way through. I just wanted to see what the brothers face looked like under the rags. Jaw dropping disappointment.

you are going to ignore this problem until it swims by and bites you on the ass
