Headed for $325-335m domestic

At $301m after 3rd weekend. The weekend drop was 52% last week and 42% this week.
Made $25m over last week, so assuming 50% drops another $25m but more with 40% drops.

Doing better than Ragnarok's $315m domestic, but worse than it's $359m international. Still WW will be over $700m.

Doesn't deserve a billion.

reply

So basically it will not break even with it's theatrical run.

reply

It will break even.

If the $300 million budget Justice League film had an assumed break-even point of $750 million then the $250 million budget Thor: Love and Thunder should have an assumed break-even point of around $700 million which it has almost reached.

It's not a breakout sequel to Ragnarok like Multiverse of Madness was for Doctor Strange but it's done good enough, especially without China or Russia box office this time.

reply

Yeah...maybe. Depends on how much the marketing costs were.

Hey QueenFanUsa!

How is your love for all things Disney and Marvel?

reply

$316m this weekend, $326m next weekend.
WW already $699m!

reply

$325m this Sunday, $720m WW. Weekend drop was only 31%!
$330m next Sunday, $730m WW. At least $745m gross, breaking even.

reply

But don't forget that it goes to Disney + on 8/24

reply

Not bad in the Covid era
