I Know Where I'll be on 11/4/21
Cannot wait!
shareI'll be in the seat behind you, giggling like an idiot.
sharewhat theater and time is this so i can be behind both of you throwing popcorn at your heads
shareWill you mix in the occasional Milk Dud? Chewing a handful of popcorn with a Milk Dud in the mix is like making a popcorn ball in your mouth. And who doesn't love balls in their mouth?
sharePrepare to thank me from the bottom of your heart:
Pop some microwave popcorn. Take it out and immediately open the bag; add a pack of peanut M&Ms. Close the bag back up; shake vigorously. Wait 20 seconds. Open. Eat. Swoon.
Yer welcome.
I'll be in the seat behind you, giggling like an idiot.
Seeing as I'm descended from Vikings on all sides of the family... life is MUCH more fun if you have a sense of humor! Even about the Old Gods of my ancestors.
shareSeeing as I'm descended from Vikings on all sides of the family...
You must be a DC fan!
I've never seen a group more lacking in humor, or more given to objecting to humor.
Most Vikings would no doubt love the Thor movies, especially Ragnarok. It's no easy feat to mix sly and subtle jokes into an epic tale of death and destruction. True, the feebleminded of the horde would no doubt troll the runes with comments of dismay and hatred, but the more intellectual Vikings would no doubt appreciate the humor just as they appreciate the classic Monty Python Spam sketch.
shareYou didn't say where you'll be.
shareI'll be at home, watching something that isn't made by the dingbat who's in charge of this movie.
I loved the first two Thor Films, and then Ragnarok had to begin the horrible downward spiral for one of my fave superheroes. I HATE what they've done to him.
Superhero films were better BEFORE the "woke" dogcrap in Hollywood started. Back before they stopped being creative, lecturing people on how uncreative, liberal manchildren can write better than us peasants, using every cliche in the book, making serious superheroes look stupid for the sake of cheap laughs, and using extremely predictable writing. Thanks, but no thanks.
Imagine how shitty movies would be if they were aimed at shallow, idiotic, uncreative, dickless losers like you...oh wait, I don't have to imagine. We're living it right now. Thanks for nothing.
🙄
Well, it’s good those like you don’t make up the majority of those who actually come out to support these films. What a cold (colder anyway) and insanely shallow world it’d be.
I can only imagine the crap we'd get if Marvel aim their films that people like her.
On an unrelated note, how great is this current season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.???
Like what. Maybe Marvel should try to go back to making good movies instead of virtue signaling.
shareIs current AoS good? I quit after that half season in space. "I'm putting together a team" they say to Absorbing man, who only justsaid he doesn't do teams. That was it for me. I'd like to tune back in but not if it's same quality.
shareDo you mean when they were in the future, trying to get back to the present and prevent the destruction of the earth? I enjoyed that season, but I think the current season is significantly better. Clark Gregg plays a villain, and he's great at it, but again-- if you weren't into it before you may not like it now. Personally, I think the series improved every season, peaked with the Ghost Rider story, then tapered off a tiny bit until this season, which I think is the best the show has been yet.
shareI liked the 1st season (it seems not many do) and loved the 2nd season. It stayed mostly good to me until it got bogged down in its obvious Inhuman schilling. Inhumans were to be the MCU's replacement for mutants and they were trying to lay that groundwork and it was a low point for me. Still, though, there were always things to like during that.
Season 4 was fantastic! The Ghost rider arc and the Framework were both excellent story lines. Then they went off the rails IMO. The space/future story was a waste of time to me but I stuck with it mostly due to show loyalty. When it was finally over, I was unimpressed with what they were doing. To me, it had turned sour. Didn't like the writing nor the acting at that point. Dropped it.
But if you say that this season is the best then I'll just ignore what I've missed and tune back in.
prob postponed until summer 2022... :(
