I just saw this film, I was enraptured. I am neither Israeli nor Palestinian, but I believe in peace and equality for the two peoples. I personally know a couple, who met in Ramallah, coincidentally (since Rana is from there,in the film), one an American Jewish pro-Palestinian activist, the other a Palestinian American born of parents from Galilee. They are happily married and both participating in various peace movements. I saw much of the young Jewish man in Liron Levo, a very tender and free-thinking person. If only this stupid separation of humanity would end, we would be in paradise on earth, there would be no wars, no danger to our children, just peace and understanding. I hope that this film touches many hearts, as it did mine.

I imagine many Israelis & Palestinians enjoyed it as we did. We need more reminders of what we have in common. The majority of Israelis & Palestinians probably already desire peace which is inseparable from Palestinian statehood. The challenges is finding a single leader of the Palestinian people who is willing to die to give his people a state & growing independence. Not many Palestinians have the power to unite them and the courage to die so they can have a free independent state. Until the Palestinians find an Anwar Sadat, it may not matter whether the people move beyond hate or what the final peace negotiations may offer. That said, it's worth a try. Who knows what may finally light the pathway to peace and statehood for the Palestinian people.
