Still not sure what it is about. Going to a party? That's all I got from the commercial.
shareIt's about debauchery in 1920s/30s Hollywood BUT the costuming, set design, and actors' mannerisms make it appear anachronistic, like Godfather 3 looking every bit like a movie filmed in 1989 vs 1979 when it was suppose to take place.
shareExactly. Nobody looks or sounds like the 1920s or 1930s. The music I heard in the trailer was the usual cliche--a phony imitation of "Sing, Sing, Sing"--often anachronistically used for any movie set before the '50s.
