The teacher at the end (spoilers)

What crime(s) would he be charged with? He never did anything illegal, did he? A few students did, mainly just the one who had issues from the start. Would the teacher have any kind of charges, or would he be let go? Maybe some sort of negligence would be his crime?

how about 'incitement to violence' or 'accessory to attempted murder'?

reply

I've never heard of either of those charges. I'm not familiar with criminal law outside of what I see on tv, especially European law. Would he likely be convicted of those crimes? If so, about how long would he serve in prison?

Would he be an accessory though? He didn't know how far gone that one student was.

I'm sure there are a host of criminal charges he'd face...not to mention all the civil suits he'd be bombarded with by the children's parents. At least that's how I imagine it working in the US justice system.

I don't think he's really guilty of a crime.. He didn't incite anyone to commit a murder.. He didn't know anyone had a weapon and all of the other kids got the message he was trying to put across - he should have noticed the kid had mental issues but not noticing isn't a crime. He should however probably lose his job because he let it get out of control, didn't notice Tims unusual behaviour and he didn't give the kids a proper debriefing as a part of their class

He saw things getting out of control, he started this cult. He's bound to have some legal responsibilities in this, bring the moral instigator.

reply

I'm not a German lawyer or judge or anything but I must say that the teacher probably wouldn't be charged with any crimes.

What we saw at the end is the teacher being taken in for questioning. Seems reasonable, no?
