He overreacted...

The morning after the night before, she explained alcohol made her use poor judgement, she realised it was a mistake...and he still turned all cold on her after three years of dedicated service and friendship.

And Nora used her stuff and belittled her about her feelings for the boss...

Her workmates bitched about her and even went to the boss with their theories...none of them proven...that got her fired...

Apart from murdering the wife, Rachel was a normal nut surrounded by very nasty nuts...any wonder she cracked.

Yes, I have to agree. Such a trivial detail, murdering the wife .. really: she's just a sweet, misunderstood young thing. David is a brute.

He didn't know or suspect she had anything to do with his wife dying...they didn't even know she had been murdered.

My comment is on his overeaction, given what he knew.

I agree he had no idea Rachel was behind the death of his wife, but I guess I was characterizing her out loud.

I don't think, however, he overreacted in light of learning finally, for all that time, Rachel had another agenda. She insinuated herself into his personal life and now he could see through her 'devotion'.

reply

I thought he overreacted too but she did grab him and kiss him hard on the lips and I thought she had good cause to think he was into her as he buys her a watch, puts it on her wrists, standing almost on top of her, giving her a loving look saying how important she has been, I can see where somebody who is already obsessed with him can lead to the wrong conclusion but once he realized she was dangerous and wanted a relationship with him then he didn't overreact.

Agree 100% They are sharing a hotel room, drinking champagne, he tells her how much she means to him, takes her out on what could be construed as a date with his daughter, gives her a gift...to me it wasn't out of line, considering she immediately stops and apologizes.

We know that she's a terrible person, but at this point he had no idea.

Boy are you an idiot.

Yep, he did overreact. She apologized for the kiss, but please it was just a kiss. She didn't strip or anything.

And I had to laugh when he fired her and said it was a very tough decision. Yeah, one that took him all of 20 seconds to make.

I felt sorry for Rachel. Too bad she went nutso.

reply

20 seconds too much! 

I agree, there was no grounds for her to be fired and there was no evidence that she was doing anything, all speculation from employees that didn't like her. He could have just had a chat with Rachel, and not just go straight to firing her.

Wanna bet that if the genders were reversed, you'd all be saying he still deserved it and his nuts should've been cut off?

Not me, I'm a guy first of all and I'm not a bleeding heart feminist.

I agree. It was all circumstantial with no evidence.
