Most Amazing Ending Ever? (Spoilers)

Was I the only one laughing my ass off in satisfaction for the last 3 minutes of this movie as they showed that all of the townspeople had killed Themselves? If anything, the movie is worth watching JUST for that last part. Classic.

I agree, to me this ending really made the film, I had really enjoyed it so far but then I thought that scene was incredible!

I was praying for the spell to work till the end and everyone to die, so it made my day.

I concur. Refreshingly good movie, but that was the best part for sure!

I only saw the last 50 minutes of the movie, I didn't like it much, but the last part was brilliant.

not everyone was bad. the cop was not bad. the girl and her friend weren't bad either. they shouldn't have died. it should have only been directed only at those who hated the witches. the mistake was in targeting everyone.

Zitken, I agree. I really like the ending when the credits rolled but I wish that the curse was only targeted at those who were responsible for the moms death. I guess they felt the whole town played a part to some extent because of how they were ostricised for not being followers of their religion. I like the theme of the film and the exposure of the hypocrisies by some of the towns people who portrayed themselves as being 'holier than thou' but as you said, there were some who weren't bad or responsible for what happened...it was still a good movie.

reply

The entire town let it happen. And covered it up. They're just as culpable. The sheriff didn't stop them from burning a woman alive and then whitewashed it as an accident. Guilt is not only for those who do a thing, but for those who know of it and do nothing.

I didn't see the ending coming, but I saw everything before that, which is annoying.

From the moment we see that her step mom is cursed, I figured :

Alright, next she will get cursed, she will go to Aidan for help, Aidan will know a solution but Dylan is going to get in the way, near the end she will try to kill herself but Aidan will stop her at the last second. And then we will see a happy ending but right before the credits we will see that the curse is still there.

So I sort of guessed that we would still see the curse, but I didn't guess the shooting part.

reply

Yes, that's a brilliant ending.

The only similar ending I can think of is from 'Salem's Lot, and that was only really the book ending, not the movie/mini-series ending.

i wish Claire had not died, after watching this movie then seeing Britt Robertson and Thomas Dekker in The Secret Circle. it looks like TSC writers lifted the burning car scene from this. but in tsc "Cassie Blake" was rescued, here she is burned alive
