shareAfter reading this I can't help but think he's a complete bonehead. This quote in particular, "That’s how they discovered the Norse ruins in Newfoundland – by sailing a replication of the ship described in the sagas, they ended up in this location and found a Norse settlement that had been built." Bollocks. He can't even mention the place by name, and that is, L'Anse aux Meadows.
Truly, I tried to like it (well, most of it), but in the end wouldn't recommend it. Way too long, repetitive scenes (how much do we have to see that axe chopping a tree?), and for gawd's sake . . . Beothuk, not Abenaki.
So much for the extensive research.
Really liked the choice of tunes though.
