It makes it completely unwatchable for anyone who has the least bit of familiarity with the language. It has absolutely nothing to do with the dialogue or the plot (and taken from a very old sound reel no less).
The production quality and so forth in this picture is very low in general, but still: what the hell were they thinking?
They should have been speaking Old Norse anyway. I agree this movie was unwatchable, especially after the one Viking took a crap onscreen.....
shareYes this is surely garbage. If they are gonna use "viking language" they should have picked "Icelandic". They just stole the voicereel of some old swedish movie and put it here without any thought of what they were saying then they just put the english subs from the script.
