Rushed at the end?

Maybe it was just the version I watched (TV) but it seemed to me the movie spent lots of time enjoying the first half, suddenly found that they needed to tie things up and come to a conclusion, and did so at very high speed. Funny, over the top adaptation but very murky at the end?

I definitely felt a bit of rush-ness. From Kate's monologue to the end, I still enjoyed the adaptation, but it didn't seem as cared for as the rest.
