I thought the movie was ok. A solid 7/10.
But what's the deal with people calling Amanda Seyfried "the one to beat" for the Oscar?
Is this serious?
She was just there.
She had a more deserving performance in Mamma Mia.
I thought she did fine with what she was given. The real Oscar buzz, IMO, should be for Gary Oldman. He is one of the great character actors or our time, and he was great in this.
shareShe was brilliant, and she's the favorite to win the Oscar right now. Gary was decent, but in a way played a softer Churchill. Good, but not brilliant. He'll probably be nominated as well.
shareI agree. Seyfreid is barely on the screen. Her wig makes a bigger splash than she does.
