My only issue was with the staging of the fights...spoilers

I really liked the quality of the filmmaking and the performances were all spot on. But the fights were filmed in such a way that the punches weren't really being "sold" as they say. Maybe lack of sound effects or the wrong camera angle. But too often I was aware, painfully so, of a staged fight with people pulling their punches, etc. It would have benefitted from changing the angles so that certain hits would look more believable. Too often it resembled a stage play fight scene. Other than that, no complaints. Great film.

I agree. I felt that the action was boring there are far better revenge movies out there.

Thought about this for a day and figured what i was expecting in fights were the well staged events from Die Hard, Bond flicks etc. What we have here are clumsy, bloody and more brutal like in the real world of realistic, stupid acts inflicted upon eachother. I dunno, good film and sure didn't hold it's punches from the start and those that git it deserved it..thought the cop to be most evil and deserved it the worst.

No I applaud the realistic take on fighting and how it is dirty but that actual technical part, the failure of the filmmakers to make the pnches look like they were actually landing at all was what I was talking about. I think the best way to say it is that I appreciated the style but they didn't have the either the technical prowess or the money to pull it all the way through.
