What are some other movies like this? Teens with problems and all that jazz

Try "mad love" with drew barrymore. Same type movie with drew playing an ED, bi-polar girl who falls in love with a "normal" guy. Good movie.

"Mad Love" is definitely a great movie, the above user is right.

I'd also recommend "Freeway". Much darker though.

I guess I'll cut my losses, and turn my tricks at the magic show..

Georiga rules, is VERY similar to this movie. A better Place, which was produced by Kevin Smith (AKA Silent Bob) was also good, very low budget but very dark and twisted about a teen witnessing family violence and about bullying in schools. A better place is very hard to find but you could probably get it on ebay for really cheap, that's how i got it.

2:37 is also very good, you can rent that one or buy it pretty cheap. It's about all these high school kids with various issues in their lives. It deals with disabilites, teen suicide, homophobia, and other such issues, i highly recommend it. I'm a social worker and I find it to be a very social worky (not a word i know) movie.

"Keith" starring Jesse McCartney. Not sure if I've got his surname right?
"Crazy/Beautiful" starring Kirsten Dunst.

Crazy Beautiful was also a very good under-rated movie

Georgia rule is basically the same movie as this. The borderline mediocre acting, young disney channel stars displaying 'realistic' turmoil in an unrealistic way. Georgia rule may be a bit worse though as far as the acting. I really am a sucker for good-bad movies.
