Massie: Is it just me or does it seem like...

she needs her "friends" more then they need her? The reason I say "friends" is because with the exception of Claire, none of them seem to be real friends at all. Massie pretty much dicates to them what they should and shouldn't do, I just love the part in that book when Dylan called her out on that. But anyway it seems to me that she needs them much more then they need her. All of them have other friends outside of the Pretty Commitee but Massie doesn't and when they had stopped being her friends during that book she was actually desperate enough to hire actors to pretend to be her friends. The girls weren't exactly crying because they weren't friends anymore but she seems really depended on them

What is Barbie's job? That bitch has some of everything!

Probably, as that's typically how it is irl (although for snobby kids, they all need each OTHER, not just one of them needing the rest). that's why you never, ever, ever see them even for a second without at least ONE friend, preferably 2, at their side in or out of class. I remember this nasty girl picking on mefor absolutely no reason when we had to walk around the race track in gym and she had 2 friends with her (oddly enough one wasnt actually her friend; she wasnt a mean preppy type so I have no idea what she was doing there ) when she did this, and other friends scattered around. the next day she confronted me when I waited outside the library for homework club and got all bent out of shape that I told the teacher on her when she asked if they were messing with me. and of course- 2 friends. one was one of the girls from before (ironically her sidekick named Kristin) and the other wasn't really in her group either, like the other girl from before. they NEED people to back them up and gain their strength.

BTW in which book did Dylan do that? I'm way too old for those books and I hate a lot of what the girls do obviously but I admit they are a guilty pleasure, like Pretty Little Liars.

It was towards the book PS I Loathe You when she and Massie were fighting because Dylan wanted to date her ex boyfriend.
