My friend and I rented this because we (well I) have read every single book, even the summer collection, and I've been reading them since I was in 6th grade (I'm 15 now, so I'm in 10th). It was okay because its fun to watch movies after you read the books but...other than that:

1. Massie's facial expressions WTFFFF what a day for weird ass expressions! (we saw twilight a few hours before...if you've seen it I do NOT need to explain what I mean). When kristen starts removing her sweatsuit or w.e. massie makes the most RIDICULOUS face! like she's wearing a potato sack when in reality she's wearing a realllyyy cute outfit! it was so overdone.

2. Layne's....voice.

3. Alicia looked like she was 10, the book described her as looking so much older

4. elizabeth's teeth, I know that's mean but they made massie sound... flawless. they could've casted better (for the lack of acting talent alone)

5. chris abeley was a dissapointment

6. claire should've let massie jump out of that cake!!!

7. it was so stupid when massie lost her earring and told everyone to "STOP!"

8. kendra didn't have a bob!

9. william wasn't bald.

10. todd was oh so insignificant.

11. the only scene that came out like I pictured was when massie and everyone was hiding in the biushes at briarwood.

12. they didn't throw raw salmon on claire!! and if they did i dont even remember...that's how boring the movie got

13. they sent claire into the yoga room, the GLASS yoga room. she could see them doing yoga before she went in but yet she goes in screaming "nurse adele!?" they should've stuck with the dark room.

14. massie, dylan, and alicia seemed like EWs/LBRs themselves. kristen was the only convincing member of the PC which is funny because she always seemed the ...lamest in the book. but in the movie she was the only one I could even imagine being friends with.

15. the fact that this went straight to dvd just screams "DISSAPOINTMENT"

I could think of more but this nyquil is starting to kick in...I'm home sick and bored but take this into consideration before you waste your money! :D

I saw the movie and twilight today.
You couldn't be more right. On everything.
The Nyquil thing made me laugh because I'm sick and on Nyquil too!
:)
The only one with a real career right now is Bridgit Mendler who played Kristen.
I should have read this first, saved me time and money.

I agree with you on all of these. I have read all the books too! I loved them but once I saw the movie I was very disappointed.

i totally agree with you. i read && love all the books. i was looking forward to the movie but to me it was a hugee disappointment.

It ruined it for me I stopped buying the books too. Killed it man.

Yeah I agree too. And I think Bridgit Mendler was the best actress in the movie by far. The thing that annoyed me the most is that they completely made up the ending of the movie. Nobody planned to jump out of a cake in the book...

agreed with most of it... and at the very end when massie is going to jump out of the cake....
-they should have stuck with the book ending
-massie was dressed COMPLETELY inappropriate for a seventh grader and what's more, her mom said "chris abeley, this one's for you!" =/ encouraging the sluttyness. lol

I'm glad I didn't read the books cuz I loooved the movie, i'm watching it again right now. Apparently, the only people that like it are people who haven't read the books.

P.S Yes, Chris Abeley was a MAJOR disappointment.

Lol yeah I'm glad too that I didn't read the books because I loved the movie too! And I think Alicia is really pretty too. Not just Kristen. Massie would be pretty except for the teeth...

Oh but I HATED Claire. Not sure if I was supposed to or not, but from what I've gathered she was supposed to be a lovable character? I wanted to slap her. And those bangs...wtf?

And I'll add another vote for the Chris Abeley disappointment. Ew.

Their style and outfits were Amazing though!!! Really sophisticated for their age, which sadly would never happen in real life.

2. Layne's....voice.

I liked her voice. It reminded me of Jane Lane's from Daria.
