What did the US government do wrong?


I dont understand, what did the US governemnt do so wrong that , the "computer" needed to destroy the government 12high rank officials, including the president.

The exact same thing it's doing today, violating the Constitution of the United States of America. ARIIA (Autonomous Reconnaissance Intelligence Integration Analyst) system is programmed to assist in carrying out of duties of government laid out in article one section eight of the Constitution by using its ability to control the substructure of our electronic communications network.

When the president completely ignores the Constitution and proceeds with violating the rights of Americans, it institutes Operation Guillotine acting on behalf of the people of the United States. Using reasoning from both the Constitution and directly quoting the Declaration of Independence."That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it..."

Operation Guillotine is supposed to restore Constitutional government by eliminating the President, the vice president, and so on with the order of succession down to the secretary of defense. Sec Def was chosen because he had agreed with ARIIA original assessment that the the operational order given by the president (that killed innocent people and violated the Constitution) was incorrect and should have been aborted.

I just saw the movie
Yes I was reading and wondering everyone criticizes the, sometimes, imaginary plot holes (to those just go watch the movie again) and not the political idea for the movie.
This is all about Americans taking action against rulers that are doing bad decisions about strategies of defense putting at risk their own people.
The person that could overwrite ARIA’s strategic recommendations was the president, and that was what happened in the beginning and that was the moment ARIA measuring all scenarios got to the conclusion that the government was bad for the country’s interest and safety and had to be overthrown.
The act has to be done by Americans, Aria believes she is following the American constitution. This is referenced several times in the movie (ex: when they are in the store changing clothes what we see in the screens is supposed to be words from the American constitution).
I’m not an American, but we learn this from Nicolas Cage in “National Treasure”.

So, is up to the American People to overthrown the government, and also mentioned in the movie, Aria thinks of itself as a part of the people.

(And the fact that the jeweler is of Arab descent is just poetic as a social criticism, he is a part of the plan exactly because Aria thinks of him as another American person with stone cutting abilities and compliant, probably vunerable to blackmail, look where he worked, not a big jewellery shop.)

But what doesn't make sense is that ARIA wanted the Secy of Defense to become President. While SecDef originally disagreed with the decision to bomb, he allowed the bombing to take place. He should have made a forceful case. Certainly the President's rationale for accepting 51% confidence was moronic and SecDef should have pointed that out too.

In fact, SecDefs have been known to threaten resignation to protest particularly egregious decisions of their CIC. And several members of the Cabinet have resigned to avoid being part of such a decision. So IMO, the SecDef as new President wouldn't have been very good either. ARIA made a bad decision there.
