Sgt Parker's wife and son
I just finished the first season and starting on second so I don't know, do we ever find out what he did that his wife and son ran away to another country? Was she from Texas and she just went back home?
In the season 3 episode "You Think You Know Someone" you find out about a case from when he was a detective that affected him greatly. He started drinking/getting drunk and she took Dean and moved down to Texas. He and Dean do reconcile in season 4(?) I think.

That brings to mind one major goof for the series. No way in hell that a five year old kid moves from Toronto to Dallas, lives there for eleven years and returns to Toronto at age 16, and still has a Canadian accent! share
