What is with these independent movies and having you guess what they're about?

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

Its about dealing with death, trauma and heartache. Isn't it obvious?

I stumbled on it 40 minutes before it was finished and it was obvious to me what it was about. I wish I'd seen it from the start though. Amazing film.
