When Groundhog Day Meets Life Of Brian

Is it a good What-If fantasy? No.
Is it a good romantic comedy? No.
Is it a good satire? No.
Why not?
It takes a genius to combine these genres successfully.

It's funny, I rented The Invention of Lying and Life of Brian at the same time, plus Jesus Camp.

Its a good satire on romantic comedy in the it depicts relationships as being based on lies.
Its a good satire on the arts in that it shows how incredibly boring the arts would be without lies.
Its a good satire on religion in the it depicts religion as being based on lies.
It is a also good satire on scepticism as well in that it depicts a world without lies as cold and unfeeling.
The beauty of this film is that is show very clearly how prevalence lies are in the world and how important they are in relationships, beliefs, culture, and religion.
This was a work of genius and is a much more coherent satire than the Life of Brian (though I love life of Brian as well).
