Good thing film is called Invention of Lying as that whole relationship was a big joke of a lie.
Seems kind of cowardly, instead of an artistic or storytelling choice ...I think it was clearly involved in the storytelling. The only time in the film that it would have made any sense for them to kiss, was right at the end outside the church, where I think it dissolved to 10 years in the future, which was kind of cool.
There are plenty of rom-coms that involve much kissing and others like this, where the couple for various reasons aren't seen to get all that physically close throughout the course of the film.🐭 share
