Stop over-analyzing this film

This film is essentially a 100-minute long expansion of a 10-minute standup comedy routine. Of course it's daft and full of holes you can steer a supertanker through. This adaptation doesn't quite work, but it's still good fun, taken as a rambling comedy routine. Gervais deserves credit for taking a novel approach to filmmaking, despite the imperfections.
