One doze of 'Art needs a hug'-syndrome, please. [possible spoilers]

Heartbreaking movie. All along I just wanted to go and give Art a hug. And slap his parents for being really *beep* up parents. His friends are pretty nuts too. No wonder the guy is messed up and blue.

10 minutes in I was reassured of Rob Pattinson's acting skills. I was a bit worried if he had any after seeing Twilight and Haunted Airman. I think he kinda sucked at those. Haunted Airman was pretty gloomy anyways, can't really know if he was supposed to be that bad. But as a fan of the Twilight-books I really think he *beep* up Twilight. I've got high hopes for New moon. In How to be Rob seemed better. Like he was better set in character.

Five stars for ths movie. Great work for such small movie!

"I've got an erection"! ROFL Oh my, Art. That's no way to hit on a lady.

I loved this film...but I can't ignore your comments on The Haunted Airman. I thought he gave a fabulous performance in that film. I am not comfortable with people dismissing someone else's efforts so easily. It was a complicated plot and maybe thats why his performance didnt shine through for you?

With regard to Art - this role showcased Rob's comedic talent. I really enjoyed it...and the 'erection' line was my fave too.

Honestly, I stopped watching Haunted Airman in the middle of the movie. I guess I just wasn't on the mood for that kind of movie and couldn't apprechiate it for it's full glory. I should watch it again now that I'm on track of his acting skills and possibly on the mood for that kind of movie. :)

Don't get me wrong - I'm not sure the plot worked that well. But I do think Rob gave a great performance.

The plot isn't easy to figure out (for me at least) and I'm still not sure I totally understood everything.
