Nick Hornby's 'How to be Good'

Did anybody else see parallels? From the obvious name connection to the lead male character seeking advice and help?
I know Nick Hornby sold the rights to book, but I was wondering if this could possibly be the adaptation? If so, I'm pretty disappointed.
