Favorite Character?

The reason I loved this movie so much, is not only because it had an incredibly great script but also because the characters were so colorful, and the acting really made them come to life. So I was wondering what everyones favorite character in the movie is?

Although I loved Hollis, and thought she was adorable I really liked Josie. I love Sissy, as she's so comforting to watch and is really great at what she does. The way she brought Josie to life was magical, and I could really empathise with her character because of that. I also really liked Steven.

What I noticed, is that in this movie, none of the characters ever patronized Hollis, despite her being an orphan and having a tough life. I really liked that. We're all equals on this Earth, despite what our social status may be and I think some people tend to forget that. So it was nice to see such compassionate characters brought to life :)

My favorite was Josie too. you're right, she was very comforting to watch. Sissy spacek's(who is one of my favorite actresses)preformance made me just give josie a big hug. it also made me want to give spacek a hug herself.

she was forgetful but so loving and you could really tell she loved Hollis the minute she layed eyes on her.

I really liked hollis too. both very likeable characters from very likeable(who couldn't resist them? both cute as a button.) actresses.

Steven because he is funny and actor Ridge Canipe is cute.

I have to agree with you!
Sissy is one of my favorite actors,
and i think Jodelle used Sissy's experence,
Cause Jodelle was GREAT, both were.
I'm beginning to belive that Jodelle work's
great with great actors and directors but
does just o.k. with just ok actors and directors.
You can just see her feeding off Sissy's experence.
I'm so happy for Jodelle, and Sissy for doing this.
Watch out Hollywood, here comes Jodelle.....

^^^^ Yeah though Ridge Canipe is the only Ridge ive hurd of the name Ridge. It seems really cool.

I have to say that I have always watched Sissy and she is a great actress and Jodelle was also awesome but in my opinion the whole cast was great. Normally in movies like these you have that one actor that cant act; However this movie had none. I first saw Jodelle on "Silent Hill" and she did great on that too. She will become very popular if she doesnt play on movies like "Tideland" again.

Yes I agree with that, even tho I think
Tideland was her best movie, she did a
GREAT job on it. I think and hope there
will be no more Tideland movies for her,
in her career.....

Hollis has always been my favorite, ever since i read this book years ago when i was about her age, i connected to her a lot (i'm not an orphan, but i felt like one sometimes) that being said i loved how each character was portrayed. although i really liked Josie and Izzie, i have always liked the actress who plays Izzie, i see her pop up in stuff all the time and almost always love her.
