You know I just saw this movie and it was awesome. Great acting and great story. My only problem is like with most movies. Who in everyones opinion in the main Character in this film??? In my opinion and what should be yours Jodelle Ferland, so why oh why is there never a mention of a child starlet, exspecially a main charactor in commericals for movies today???? Just a simple question.

I totally agree. there have been movies out there that had mainly a child cast and a few adults, but the adults were always 1st in the credits and really the only people mentioned in commercials/trailers. It's *beep* really. just cos they are younger why should they get any less?
Like a movie i was watching the other day- Bastard out of Carolina- well Jena Malone who was a kid in that- and was 'the bastard' and the main character, well she was like 4 or 5 in the opening credits... wtf??
yeah its stupid, they work just as hard, if not harder so should get rightful recognition
instead of putting the biggest star on the poster put the main actor/ess in the movie!

As far as I've understood, those who are more famous and might attract an audience get paid more and are usually mentioned in commercials/on posters.
For an actor/ess who hasn't made a name for themselves yet sometimes agree to reduce their pay to have their name mentioned as well. It's just business. People hear the name and are like "oooh I wanna see that, I love that actress" but someone who is still virtually a nobody to the screen, their name wouldn't have that effect, instead, it might make their name more known, hence why they sometimes basically pay production companies to add their name as well.
I think Dakota fanning had her salary lowered to have her name with Robert De Niro's on the poster in 2005 or something.
