One thing that confused me ....
Who actually played the characters in the All Blacks and Springboks rugby teams? Were those players actors or were they the current All Blacks and Springboks rugby players?
Obviously those guys could all play rugby.
All actors, bar one, who was an ex-Springbok, who plays Chester.

And the rugby was not convincing at all. The sound effects put in for every tackle were laughable, the rules of the sport were broken in almost ever scene and when Matt Damon hits the bag when training he actually jumps into it (ie he's completely off the ground) which would not only hinder you in a match but is actually very dangerous for you and your opponent.
shareAgree that the rugby scenes could have been better... but me, I was just happy to see rugby on the silver screen... we don't see enough of it there. I'd like to see more rugby films, rather than the usual ones about American sports and association football.

Disagree...I thought the rugby scenes were really well done and the referees even looked authentic with their actions and whistling. Just like you though nephihaha, I was stoked to see it on the silver screen.
