ending ruined amazing show

it's like they ran out of money or something and had to truncate the ending. the premise was so good and by the climax, they seemed to have had tons of potential material left. they wrote the story to end rapidly and abruptly. suddenly all these people just die and accept it. all the build up with the father john just crashes immediately. he goes from a fervent believer to completely rejecting it in like 1hr. riley just dies right after discovering the true nature of it all. it doesnt even make sense.

meanwhile they had a great premise and built up a great story with compelling characters. this show could've gone on for a while and be even better.
