Company not paying their actors on time.

This company is not releasing money to pay their actors who work on this film. Shame on you!!!!!!!

many of us are still not paid for work. I worked in June, and figure that soemthing happened with their funding. It happens..we've all been in tight situations. I hope they get back on track and get us paid. It is interesting that they are still filming though?

I haven't gotten paid either. I called UPS (Universal Payment Service Inc.), the number on my voucher, and they gave me

Por Vida Productions LLC # (213) 534-3037,

and was told to contact them directly. They haven't responded back to me, so I called LA Casting Group, and they told me Por Vida Productions recently moved.

Their new #: (213) 718-2281.

I've provided both numbers so you guys can try either one. Someone from LA Casting Group said, that according to Por Vida Productions, they should get their funding within a month and pay all of us. However, the person on the phone was uncertain, and LA Casting Group hasn't been paid either. Hopefully, we all get paid soon.

What was your role in the film? How much are you owed? And by the way they are not currently filming.... although it should resume within the next month. I know several people who are intersted in investing and would love to know what's going on. Thanks :)

I am just one of a huge group of performers who still have not been paid at this late date. I put claims in to Screen Actors Guild and to the Labor Board.
I recently got a phone call from a producer-type whose lengthy BS message means absolutely nothing until unpaid people start seeing checks in the mail.

I'm wonderin' whether the production company is ever going to pay us. I hope they don't runaway from their responsibilities and find a way to screw us all over.

They seem to think that they are taking their film to Sundance...if that's the case, I'll be sure to contact the people at the Festival and ask if there's any stipulation about entering a film that has NOT PAID THEIR CREW and TALENT.

The day after the Academy Awards and we still haven't been paid. Some guy named Frank asked me who the hell I was and expressed a wish that I stop posting here. I hope they pay Frank for his services.

Thanks, Etched - I only worked one day...just think of the poor people who weren't paid for multiple days.
It was a s-l-o-w year to begin with and 2 productions didn't pay at all.

On second thought...Maybe we are just being too demanding. My work date was in July of 2007, so maybe the check is in the mail.
But I am serious...If I don't have the money by 2011, I'm going to pencil in some irritation!

I used to...now I have Lecter-like moments of wanting to wring their..uh.....uh...bank accounts, yeah that's it....bank accounts not necks. I was confused for a minute.

Please allow the production to clarify since there is much confusion among the posters here, and understandably so. Those who have called either the production or SAG have consistently been given the accurate status of the project, which I will post below as well.

SAG and the production have come to an agreement authorizing the release of the bond, which will be divided up equally among all of the background performers who hold a SAG voucher, whether or not they are SAG members, and the principal performers, again whether or not they are SAG members.

The exact percentage SAG and the production are calculating now but the production's calculations show that the bond should cover about 50% of what is due the performers. The payroll processing is underway and should be wrapped up soon.

Thanks for the update, but I don't know anyone who has 'confusion'. They all know they worked a very long time ago and were not compensated. Now they will know that soon maybe 50% of something will happen.

In short, swalvarez - Lip service is a very poor substitute for paying your performers. How many years do you think we should all wait?

Well I finally got something in the mail today from SAG, I believe it's 69% of what is owed. I am thrilled I finally received some compensation, at least. Watch out for it in your mail.

Congratulations, sorta. I got my 63% today, also. Divide that by the number of days since you worked and see how it comes out. I just hope they never get a shot a a SAG production again.
My appointment for the Labor Board hearing is in May...what fun.

That's great for SAG members but what about crew members? You owe me $5000! All I'm confused about is why you haven't paid me. I know you completed shooting under a different production company name. Hope you feel proud. Lawyers have been contacted...anyone want to join in this suit?

I'm happy to discuss the status of the project with any cast member, crew member, or vendor, or their representatives, as I have been doing throughout the project.

My contact info is listed on IMDB. I emailed out letters to all of the crew in late August with an update as well.
