Will McKenzie end up like 'The Starlet' winner?

Back in 2005, there was a show for aspiring actresses called The Starlet (Vivica A. Fox and Faye Dunaway were two of the judges). The winner was Michelynne McGuire, who made a brief appearance in an episode of One Tree Hill but that's about it; rumors are she's a waitress now.

Do you predict a similar future for McKenzie?

I hope not. I hope all the kids get work. I am worried about her management team limiting her career. I understand that maybe they couldn't find her work until the show wrapped so that they would not reveal the winner. I just hope that they get on the ball and get McKenzie some work.

I don't think so. McKenzie has good parents and if they were smart, they put that $50,000 in an account for her college.

queenbee1379 - What do you mean? If her goal is to be actress/singer then it would be smart of her parents to put the money towards that and if she changes her mind and wants to go to college down the line then she'll have the money to do that. So I guess Im just not understanding your post.

There was also another show called fight for fame. Winners got a contract with Acme, but I never heard from them again. Marki was on that too.

I think Mackenzie should try soaps. Look at Zach from GL. He never has a lot of lines, but he is still pretty popular.

see Brooke Breedwell, the little girl from the Painted Babies documentary.

Her parents spent thousands of dollars on her pageants and now they are asking for donations for her college fund.

Apparently McKenzie wasn't given any jobs by her agent after winning and her contract wasn't re-newed...that is pretty messed up

Then again, this is a low-budget show hosted by a D-list actor...was anyone really expecting this show to produce the next Miley Cyrus?
