Vox Pop, the Coffee shop a scene was filmed in has its own history.

Vox Pop was a landmark in Ditmas Park West before it went bankrupt due to bad management from board members.Vox Pop was a favorite meeting place for the community. Each night of the week there was entetainmnt from open mike to book discussions by authors. It was going to become a success story till various people drained it dry. Those responsible for it know very well why it was destroyed . It became a hangout for the Inteligencia of the neighborhood. It was allowed to exist due to the trust the majority of the board members allowed. It was a cooperative. The neighbohood people, of those that had money invested their savings by buying shares in the cooperative, Vox Pop. It came to pass that funds disappeared and this establishment had no choice even though it was making money had to close their doors. Those that are responsible know it very well and those that trusted those that were responsible are left with nothing except a memory. Part of that memory was filmed in Able Danger. What a miracle, that image...that image of Vox Pop for those couple of minutes are chipped into stone forever almost never happening for that movie almost never came out on DVD.
The reason I have given tribute to this place was the true fact that it showcased new talent no matter how rough at the edges the talent portrayed.
