This show is still airing?

Yes. It's a syndicated 1/2 hour version of the game. Think when "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" was hosted by Regis Philbin. Then, the half hour version was hosted by Meredith Vieira (sp?).

Where there used to be 6 (or 8?) songs + the million dollar song in the hour game, there are just 4 songs + the "encore song" in the half hour version.

Ladder goes as follows:

$1000
$2500
$5000
$10000

If the contestant gets up to $10000, they can go for the encore song, which would be worth $50000. If they don't get the lyrics, they win $1000.

For any level, the contestant can still go for the encore song; they'll just be playing for double the amount of the level where they are. However, if they don't get the lyrics in the encore song, they walk away with nothing.

As well, the half hour version is hosted by Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray fame.
