From the little bits I have seen of it, believe me it is.
I have worked on the movie as a background extra as a construction worker and in the nightclub.
Marc Blucas, Naveen Andrews and Bart Johnson were fantastic and really nice to us nobodies.
The barmaid in the nightclub scene was even flown in from LA though I don't think she even has a line in the movie.
This was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone.

Speaking of real blood...we watched them shoot a scene last night (7/21/07) in Reno, NV, downtown between the casinos on Virginia street. When they called "action", one of the actors (Marc Blukas?) took off down the street in his underwear at full speed with the cameraman running along closely. The next thing I know the camera man tripped and took a hellacious fall. Camera parts shattered all over the street and it was awhile before he got up off of the ground.
Eva Amurri was obviously distressed when it happened. Naveen thought it was finnier than sh*t up until he realized the guy was actually hurt, then he was more concerned. After that my wife and I had our picture taken with Naveen who was very kind and courteous.
Oh and Nicki Aycock was standing around in the tightest, skimpiest shorts you ever saw! I'll be looking forward to this "werewolfish" movie when it comes out.

I like Nicki Aycox. I have seen quite a bit of her work and I am very impressed. Lets hope this is just as good. Can't wait!

How did you get to be an "extra" in the movie? Wasit an open casting call or do you have an agent type of deal?

reply

This was one of the worst films ever made... ugh... how could the sets and stuff look so cheap with a budget like this.. this is just plain terrible and I see the director is trying to pull his credit

reply

Actually it didn't have a big budget at all. It was like 5 million, which if you think about it...then again, Feast only had a budget of 3 million...

But still, I want to see it more for the cast than the effects, etc.

The budget was five million. Van Helsing had a huge budget - and most of it still looked cheap. Or fake. Or both. With a budget of five million, I can overlook cheap (unless a piece of wall that's actually painted cardboard falls down in the background or something).
