Truely one of the worse films ive ever seen

They had a director and writer im told during the making of the film.. not sure what they were doing but i have been informed they were in the same building.. terrible acting,plot,script,special effects and more criminally they named the film so close to 20,000 leagues under the sea and gave it a good looking cover that people actually paid there hard earned cash to get this trash!

If anyone involved with this film is reading this please explain whats wrong with this line... Captain Nemo: helms-man turn right....

I dont think it needs any more explination.

I saw this in Blockbuster and was going to pick it up, because I mean, I love Jules Verne material, but, guess not!

It is indeed one of the worst movies. At first I thought it was filmed in the late 80s. But alas, it was filmed just last year!

In 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, was Captain Nemo an utter madman like he is in 30,000 Leagues?
I have to go back and read or watch 20,000 leagues to recall the story.

He was a fanatic, which generally means he was a mad man. This version was a touch too much of a mad scientist (complete with brainwashing machine) for my taste. I prefer the James Mason version of Nemo.

Remember in Jr. High, when you and a few friends would get a hold of a video camera and play army men and or spoof scenes from favorite horror/sci-fi flicks, then show the Opus to a packed bedroom of rowdy cheetoe eating 13 year olds?
Well "30,000 Leagues Under the Sea" makes those youthful efforts look like the works of Orson Welles and Steven Spielberg.
The only thing that was missing was a "Guest" appearance from Gary Busey ( on temporary release from Rehab) playing his usual wild eyed person of "authority"..In this case he could have been Capatain Nemo's ........father.

Me and a buddy just rented it because we knew it would be stupid and we wanted something to make fun of. This one did not disappoint. It was sooooooo TERRIBLE. Oh my goodness!
