I missed the beginning, so I don't know if they explained it or not. How did they afford a house that huge? (Sophie's parents, I mean.) Presumably they were a young couple, and that definitely was not a starter home. Did the movie say anything about their jobs?

He was a junior partner in a law firm and they sunk an inheritance into the house.
