I'm hoping that this won't turn out like The New Adventures of Speed Racer, but part of me thinks that this show is really going to suck. I'll just have to wait until the show is released.

i'm with you. speed's son is the main character (also named speed and somehow has a brother racer x...) it's like they kept the same story but tried to pretend they were being original. and the mach 6? not to mention the art looks goofy.
the movie, videogame, and now all this show seem to be completely missing all the things that made speed racer great. extremely disappointing. only good thing is there will be some new speed racer lego sets. lol
I'm excited about the movie, the anime coming to Nick Toons and the Lego sets.
I'm also excited about the new Sonic RPG from BioWare Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.

This new series are NOT anime, therefore I don't think there will be a manga either. This series are made by the same people that made Kappa Mikey. Still I'm looking forward to this show.

i saw the orig 60s cartoon as well as speed racer x which was just a remake that wasnt too bad....but next generation is just too american esp when they change so much about it but at the same time as you said its the same story they just made the 1st speed have kids and all and the car which is just dumb, i also think the art looks wierd and bad and i like the japanese anime look better than what they did to it... also the voices are annoying to me anyway lol
the new movie was good for what it was i did notice they changed a few things for time as well as so it flows better and they left it open for a sequal...and the giy who played speed in the movie bothered me lol oh well
