Two-part adaptation of John Cleland's notorious novel, starring Rebecca Night as a woman from the country who battles to attain respectability after falling into a life of prostitution in 18th-century London. In the first part, Fanny moves to the capital after her parents's death and is seized on by madam Mrs Brown. Things go from bad to worse when her fiance is banished by his father to the West Indies.
