It's not for everyone, but I loved this movie. Period movies are viewed mostly by women, and some can be quite modest and might not like Fanny Hill. I think it was just explicit enough. Along the same lines as Tipping The Velvet. Prostitution is a good dose of reality, and the story is really about Fanny becoming a stronger woman and not so naive. Her sexuality empowered her, eventually.
shareI'm a twenty eight year old male, and i love period dramas. Anyway, i agree 1000% with you. This TV movie is truly amazing. The acting is fantastic. Tipping The Velvet, is another of my favourites and is also written by the great, Andrew Davies. Everything that man touches turns to gold.
shareThe story was interesting and full of twists. Just when you were afraid you knew exactly where it was going, it would swerve go off in a completely unexpected direction. Thankfully the poor girl didn't have too ghastly a time of it.
