"The Crimson petal and the White" about a Victorian prostitute is currently showing on BBC2 I think. Haven't been able to see it, but bought the book recently, which I'm really looking forward to reading

I love these stories of women like Fanny Hill. Some call it smut because they think it is all about sex but truth be told it is an experiences women experience sometimes at a young life and then later, it makes them learn the difference between love, lust and the cruel violation of women.
I hope this makes senses cause I hate people who judge things they do not understand.
I've seen all of those except one. All great movies. I loved Tipping the Velvet.
