A Surprisingly Funny Film

I wasn't too sure what to expect when watching a preview disc of this film which I received from working at Blockbuster, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've always liked Danny DeVito, but a couple of recent straight to DVD efforts left me a little uncertain about this flick. Luckily, this is a great laugh. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 7/10.

Wow. This movie was absolutely horrible. I felt bad that Danny Devito attached himself to this film. Both brothers were unappealing in every line and unbelievable. The mom was also equally obnoxious; who the *beep* doesnt want their sons to move out after 20 some years. And what are we supposed to get from the ending? He quits his damn job, what kind of responsibility did that teach them?

Don't get me wrong, there are some laughs in this film, but overall Devito's part isn't enough to make this movie worth watching. I mean, this movie isn't even as funny as a Pauly Shore film, not even the bad ones like Biodome.

I like Pauly Shore.

I saw a lot of my grandmother in the mother actually, lol. She still babies her kids and as a result they're a bunch of losers who can't do anything for themselves. That was what made the movie funny, in my opinion. The extremities both sides went to.

And Ryan Hanson does have a fabulous ass :)

I agree - yes this was really dumb, but my boyfriend & I couldn't stop laughing - and I mean really laughing out loud! I checked this out b/c Danny DeVito makes some really funny films; and although he wasn't in this much & when he was he didn't have much of anything funny to do - this was still worth watching at least once.

is that fireman colleague to devito "biff" from back to the future? that's surreal. he becomes more recognisable later though. neat thing to put devito and sagal togheter (height wise), and sagal has aged gracefully since "married with children". i'm suprised the dvd didn't have subtitles but all that other bonus material. this movie is kind of like scripted "mtv jackass" with the reoccurring movie theme lately about 25+ year old kids acting like 5 year olds and living with their parents, and daddy gets enough. i guess the dumbest one is with will farrel and john c reilly with mary steenburgen as their mother. i would have enjoyed this better if the camera had followed devito and sagal when they drove off instead of staying in the house with the "dudes". seems like a movie that would suit children, but they have thrown in languege that doesn't fit that either.

at desk during the day,
redheaded stephanie never were uptight anyway,
but when come closing time,
down street hit the boxing arena ring side,
her fire used to at the desk place,
here reaching higher than any ever of her colleague babes,
stephanies red ponytail flying, her teeth grinding,
you're one hard kicking honey,
but hey, right off i would on you have bet all my money,
such a fair body in such a use,
it's an unusual view, as she rule,
watch out horizontal thigh,
at ringside stunned by stephanie so wild,
in ring during the night.

I've always loved the quote that you use for your signature! I know you're not claiming that you wrote it but I thought that I would mention that it was Ze'ev Jabotinsky that is credited with coming up with that quote in case you're interested. I actually have a t-shirt with that quote, it usually goes over well here in the USA.

BTW, imho I didn't care much for the movie but Danny DeVito did make it possible to watch the whole thing.
